Ergonomic Standing Desk Setup

Set desk height for standing correctly
Elbows at 90 degrees when standing, wrists flat. Most people set their standing height too high. Use the Flexispot E7 or Uplift V2 — both have memory presets so switching takes one button.

Set sitting height to match keyboard arm position
Elbows at 90 degrees when seated. Monitor top edge at or just below eye level. If your monitor arm does not reach that height, use a monitor riser underneath.

Add an anti-fatigue mat
Standing on hard floors for more than 30 minutes causes fatigue. A contoured anti-fatigue mat (not a flat yoga mat) makes standing tolerable for 2-hour stretches.

Set a standing reminder every 45 minutes
Use the Desk Time extension or built-in break reminders on macOS. Alternating every 45 minutes to 1 hour is more beneficial than standing all day.
